The Hougen 12136 is a 1-1/8 in diameter, 1 in depth-of-cut annular cutter from the 12,000-Series, designed for use with Hougen portable magnetic drills and many competitive models. Made from hardened M2 high-speed steel and precision-ground throughout, this cutter delivers clean, burr-free holes with superior finish on materials up to 275 BHN (28.5 HRC). The patented Hougen-Edge geometry and fully fluted design require significantly less horsepower and thrust than conventional twist drills, allowing higher feed rates and improved chip evacuation. The rigid 3/4 in double-flatted Weldon shank offers up to 2x the tool life versus quick-change competitive mounting systems. Resharpenable for extended tool life and lower cost per hole, this cutter also ejects a usable slug rather than generating loose chips.
