The Hougen 12,000-Series Rotabroach Annular Cutter (Model 12158) is engineered to drill burr-free holes by cutting around the perimeter and ejecting the center as a usable slug, dramatically reducing chip volume compared to conventional twist drills. Constructed from hardened M2 high-speed steel with accurately ground geometry, it requires significantly less horsepower and thrust – as little as 10% of the thrust needed by a comparable twist drill for larger diameters. The 3/4” two-flat Weldon shank ensures a rigid, secure connection, delivering up to 2x the tool life of quick-change cutter configurations. Compatible with Hougen portable magnetic drills, stationary tools, and drill presses, it performs on materials up to 275 BHN and is fully resharpenable to reduce cost per hole over its service life.
