Metacaulk 1000 is a 1-component, water-based, highly intumescent firestop sealant engineered for use in construction joints and through-penetrations. It cures to a flexible, elastomeric seal capable of dynamic motion, effectively stopping the spread of flames, smoke, hot gases, and water through joint openings and through-penetrations. Suitable for metal, insulated, fiberglass, and plastic pipes, as well as top-of-wall joints, power, telephone, and DataComm cables. Rated for up to 4-hour fire resistance in accordance with ASTM E 814, UL 1479, UL 2079, and CAN/ULC-S115 standards, with an STC rating of 62.

- Flexible elastomeric cure handles dynamic movement and constant vibration; tested to 500 cycles
- Protected against mold growth in wet and dry stages with a combination of biocides
- Paintable with excellent freeze-thaw stability and a minimum 3-year shelf life
- STC rating of 62, tested per ASTM E90 in a UL 411 wall assembly
- Apply with a conventional caulking gun, bulk loading gun, or trowel — no special skills required
