Product Details
The Tempil Tempilstik 300°F Temperature Indicating Stick is purpose-built for welding and metal fabrication professionals who need fast, reliable surface temperature confirmation without electronic instruments. The stick instantly melts at the designated 300°F (149°C) temperature, providing an immediate and clear visual indication that eliminates guesswork in pre-heating, interpass, and post-weld heat treating operations. Calibration-free and accurate to within +/-1% of Fahrenheit rated temperature, it meets the preheat requirements of AWS D1.1, ASME Code Sec. I, III and VIII, and ANSI/ASME Code B31.1 and B31.3. Each stick is imprinted with part number, temperature, and lot code across its entire length for full NIST traceability and certifiability for nuclear use. Made in the USA and free of sulfur, lead, and halogens, the Tempilstik is safe for use on stainless steel, alloy, and superalloy metal surfaces.
