New Branch in Calumet City, Illinois

 CALUMET CITY, IL – June 26, 2019 – Today, Midland Tool & Supply announced the opening of its first branch office, located at 1479 Regency Court in Calumet City, Illinois.  The new facility features a lofted office space, allowing the approximately 55,000 square foot lower level to serve as an uninterrupted distribution center.  This, combined with the location’s close proximity to several major thoroughfares, will allow Midland Tool to serve customers outside of Michigan in a rapid and effective manner.

“Midland and Superior Tool are now able to stock and service our customer base in Northwest Indiana, Chicagoland, and the outlying areas, from a local standpoint,” says company President, Brian Boychuk.  “Being in Calumet City, Illinois, just north of I 80 and I 94, also gives us quick, geographic and interstate access to the region.  Having same day, door to door service is very important to our customers, and that is why we have made this large commitment to the area.”

Midland Tool & Supply’s new branch was constructed in 1989, and previously served as a distribution center for Dunkin’ Donuts and Little Caesar’s.   Upon possession, Midland Tool & Supply hired Barton Malow Company to restore and update the interior and exterior.  Highlights from the construction phase include:  demolition and complete replacement of heaved interior concrete, re-pavement of the exterior lot, creation of a mezzanine for storing large equipment, installation of high efficiency lighting, installation of a pressurized heating system, installation of motorized docking doors, installation of an interior vehicle water runoff system, construction of a spacious customer will call lobby, and reconfiguration of the lofted office space.

Midland Tool & Supply looks forward to holding a Open House at the new branch in the spring of 2020.  An exact date will be announced in the winter of 2020, and any inquiries can be emailed to Rachel Dresser, Marketing Manager, with the subject line “Calumet City Open House.” “We are excited to meet new and existing customers along with suppliers, partners, colleagues and friends in the fall to celebrate the commitment we have made to our customers and the community of Calumet City,” says Boychuk.

The branch manager, Rob Teasley, will be available Monday through Friday, from 6:30am to 5:00 to assist existing customers, as well as those who would like to learn more about Midland Tool & Supply’s products and services.  The warehouse, customer service, and sales teams will be accessible during the same hours.  The branch will be equipped with an after hours call line, to assist with situations that arise outside of business hours.
